This project implemented a Cat 6 structured cabling system for a government office building in Macau, covering nearly 1,000 information points across multiple floors together with a fibre backbone upgrade — a stable, reliable and manageable network foundation for smart office operations.
Project Background
The building's legacy cabling had suffered years of wear, with messy labelling and time-consuming troubleshooting. Network bandwidth could no longer support modern applications such as HD video conferencing and IP telephony.
Our Solution
Designed in line with international structured cabling standards, the system uses fibre for the vertical backbone and Cat 6 UTP for horizontal runs. Cable routing, dressing and labelling follow unified workmanship rules, and every link was tested and certified with professional instruments, with full documentation delivered.
Results
All information points passed certification testing at the first attempt, with substantially improved bandwidth and stability. The standardised labelling and documentation system greatly improved day-to-day maintenance and fault-location efficiency, earning high praise from the client.
